When her career in commercial apparel design for large companies such as Tommy Hilfiger opened her eyes to the major issues of the current fashion supply chain, Aniela Hoitink decided to focus on solving them. What started with the development of innovative mycelium textiles in collaboration with universities and research institutes, soon turned into much more: the MycoTEX manufacturing method, a holistic system that solves all these issues in one go. For this she has received various grants, honours and awards with the highlight winning the Global Change Award in 2018. Moreover, she is considered to be one of the 100 most innovative women in the world and has been named one of the Hello Tomorrow Deep Tech Pioneers of 2020. MycoTEX® is the ground breaking automated seamless manufacturing method allowing for custom-made products made from compostable mushroom roots. We are looking for connection with (natural) coating, pigment/dye and fiber companies, as well as contract manufacturing of fungal biomass.
