Bruno M. Pary started his career in 1975, as Research Assistant for the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) at the Paris University. In 1978, he joined ExxonMobil as an Elastomers Commercial Engineer in Paris and then moved to Brussels, where he held several supervisory positions in Elastomers Technology and Product Management. He was transferred to Houston in 1988 to the Polymers Business, and then returned to Brussels. During this period, and until 1995, he held a number of management positions in Marketing, Sales and Product Management. In 1995, he was appointed Europe, Middle East & Africa General Manager for Specialty Elastomers and in 2001 Global Manager for Sales for Specialty Elastomers. In 2006, he was appointed Senior Advisor, at ExxonMobil Chemical Middle East and Africa. In this position, he participated to the definition and the implementation of the Elastomers project in Saudi Arabia, a multi B$ project including several Rubber plants, a Rubber Institute and a Technology Center. He retired from ExxonMobil in 2013, after 35 years of service. Mr. Pary has been an active member of the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP), as European Director and as International President. In this position, he has organized the first Global Rubber Forum in the Middle East, in Dubai. In 2018, he received the prestigious IISRP General Award for his global contributions to the Synthetic Rubber Industry. He is currently International Fellow of the University of Akron Research Foundation. In this position, he supports a number of initiatives aiming at the commercialization of Technologies developed in the Ohio Business incubator. Mr. Pary, a native of Marseille (France), is a Chemical Engineer (Lyon), earned a Doctorate in Polymers at the Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris), and a Business Degree from the IAE Paris (Institut d’Aministration des Entreprises).
