Our expertise in R&D and Process Development, thanks to our modern and unique research center, offers access to many innovative technologies. Our team is well experienced in the development and optimization of new processes for the transfer to large scale manufacturing, while ensuring the optimization in terms of lead time and costs.

The visit shows the classic way of a product:
- Visit of the Research and Development Laboratory and the Analytical service Center showing our equipment and our ability to control product quality
- Visit of the “pilot hall” building, Process Development: opportunity to meet our experts and see the unique portfolio of technologies and know-how

Fifteen years after the Competitiveness Clusters, this initiative aims to give a new impetus and opportunities for a “growth driver ”.

Decription of the site visit:

The site of Bazancourt-Pomacle biorefinery is an integrated biorefinery near Reims. This rural biorefinery delivers food and feed ingredients, fuel and chemicals. It aims to highlight the potential of the industrial bioeconomy to replace fossil fuel with resources produced from more sustainable biomass (mainly wheat, sugarbeet, alfalfa, wood) that performs both in economic and social terms.

The Bazancourt-Pomacle biorefinery, the result of 70 years of continuing initiatives, is the first operational integrated biorefinery with diverse industrial facilities and production, an innovation platform and the operation of a genuine knowledge-based economy.

Recently, this platform has been labeled “territory of industry". Come and visit:

- the European Center for Biotechnology and Bioeconomy, an academic research center, with a technological hall, a chemistry scale-up zone, and a complete analytical platform. The CEBB relies the facilities needed to scale-up the processes developed at the bench scale. It covers the development of products from the mL scale (vials, microplates, microreactors) to the scale of ten or even hundreds of L (fermenters, photo-bioreactors, pre-industrial separation pilots), and thus from the proof of concept to the industrialization of processes and their exploitation.
- the Cristanol distillery, a bioethanol plant. As a particularity, this plant processes both sugarbeet juices and wheat into two separated production lines.
