AXELERA is the French cluster for the Chemical, Process industries & Environment sectors. It was created in 2005 in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region by 6 key players: ARKEMA, CNRS, ENGIE, IFP Energies Nouvelles, Solvay and Suez. Our main mission is to accelerate the success of our members involved in the controlled management of materials and environmental resources, by promoting development and innovation, to support the creation of value and contribute to a responsible industry and sustainable society.

Description of the company's solutions

AXELERA's mission as a cluster is to accelerate the success of our members involved in the controlled management of materials and environmental resources, by supporting them through networking, innovation, business development, promotion and communication of their activities. We gather around 400 members (from start-up to middle size and big size companies, as well as academic, financial, and training actors) that work on the following topics: • Materials, chemicals, equipment, and system manufacturing, • Equipment and systems manufacturing and integration, • Process engineering, energy and resource efficiency, and regulatory compliance, • Recycling/reuse of various industrial by-products and end-of-life products, • Water, air, and soil remediation, • Renewable raw materials, • Digitalisation of industry.
